Cabinda: Deepwater port to provide 30.000 jobs

Cabinda – The completion of construction works of the future deepwater port in northern Cabinda province will create 30.000 workplaces including 1000 direct jobs.

This was said Saturday by the project’s shareholder Jean Claude on the fringes of a visit by the candidate of the ruling MPLA party for President of Republic, JoAPound o Lourenco.

According to him, the conclusion of the first stage of the said infrastructure is set for 2018.

To Jean Claude, the construction of the port is a decision that meets the needs of Cabinda residents as well as the economic stakeholders.

The future port of Caio located in the northern region of Atlantic maritime coast will have a potential movement of a free zone.

The infrastructure will facilitate big ships bound for ports of Matadi in Democratic Republic of Congo( DRC), Point Noir (Congo Brazzaville) and Luanda (Angola).
