Minister stresses training of anti-poverty programme implementers

Angolan minister of Social Action, Family and Promotion of Women Ana Paula do Sacramento Neto said on Wednesday that the training of the executors of the Computer System for the Management of Actions of the Programme to Combat Poverty (SIGAPCP) improve the implementation of this plan.

The minister was speaking at monitoring and evaluation meeting for the implementation of the Integrated Programme for Local Development and Fighting Against Poverty held in eastern Lunda Sul province.

Addressing a training action on SIGAPCP, designed for municipal and provincial directors from the Statistical and Planning Offices (GEP), the minister said the training and ongoing monitoring will facilitate the alignment between the Computer System and the report that the province sends to the Ministry, often without the insertion of some data.

According to minister, the training will help to achieve better results so that the fight against poverty continues to reduce vulnerability, hunger and poverty in the country.

Ana Paula do Sacramento Neto said that the Ministry intends to make an adjustment to the Management System of the Combat Poverty Programme and to Decree 140, which guides the implementation of the fight against poverty.

In turn, the provincial governor of Lunda Sul, Daniel Neto, said that many actions to combat hunger and poverty in the region have already been implemented and others are being finalised, with a positive impact on communities.

At the end of the meeting, the minister handed over computer resources to the municipal and provincial directors of the Lunda Sul Statistics and Planning Office (GEP).
