Zaire: Nzeto fish processing women get micro-credit

Mbanza Congo – At least 25 fish processing women in Nzeto municipality, northern Zaire province, were granted on Tuesday micro-credit to help relaunch their activity.

The grant was part of the Industry and Commerce Bank (BCI) agricultural credit programme for the fisheries sector.

The micro-credit awarding ceremony presided over by the minister of Fisheries, Vitoria de Barros Neto, was part of the inauguration of the artisanal fishing wharf in Zeto.

This is the second BCI micro-credit granted to Nzeto fish processing women, after that of May 2015 that covered 100 women involved in the activity in that locality.
