Yahya Polani welcomes the Yemeni Carrier to Pakistan (Daily Messenger (Pakistan))

“Mauritius is gateway to Africa; immense bilateral commercial opportunities exist between Pakistan and Mauritius; Preferential Trade Agreement between two countries should be materialized in true spirit to strengthen friendly ties between two countries.”, This was stated by Mohammad Yahya Polani, Chairman, FPCCI’s Standing Committee on Aviation & Chairman, IATA Agency Programme Joint Council Pakistan& MD Polanis Group in a meeting with business delegation from Mauritius which was headed by Shehzad A.

Yahya Polani appreciated the efforts and incentives offered by the Mauritius Government to attract investors from countries worldwide. He also lauded the efforts of Sohail Yaseen Suleman, Honorary Consul General of Mauritius for promoting bilateral trade between two countries. He added that Pakistani Business Delegation visited Mauritius last year and also saw land sanctioned by the Mauritius government for establishment of National Urdu Institute which need immediate attention by the Government of Pakistan.
Speaking on this occasion, Shehzad A. Ahmed, President, Mauritius Chamber of Merchants and President of Joint Business Council MauritiusPakistan stated that exchange of business delegation between Pakistan and Mauritius are important to uplift bilateral trade and explore new opportunities. He said that the Government of Mauritius allocated land measuring 12 canals for establishment of National Urdu Institute whereby the Government of Pakistan has not yet released any funds till date and requires attention of concerned quarters. He highlighted immense investment opportunities in the sectors of seafood, minerals, electrical, construction, garments, light engineering, commodities etc. The foreign investors can reexport from Mauritius to Madagascar, Comoros, Malawi, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Somalia, Kenya, Maldives, Burundi, South Africa, Uganda, Ethiopia, Mozambique and Zambia. He said that Mauritius an island country is emerging as a progressive economy located in India ocean near South Africa, Madagascar, Comoros, Seychelles.
Country Manager Swiss Air Yasmeen Peermohammad, ExPresident Reap Javed Ali Ghouri, Chairman Memon Khidmat Forum Masood Parekh and Commercial Head Honorary Consulate of Mauritius Sajjad Azam also exchanged views on this occasion. (END)
