Territory Administration Ministry intensifies registration in difficult access areas

Despite the almost eight million voters registered so far throughout the national territory, MAT faces constraints in the eastern region of the country a month before the end of the process.

According to the National Director for Technologies and Support to Electoral Processes of the Ministry of Territory Administration, Antonio Lemos, the eastern region has been one of the most difficult ones in terms of access to certain areas, due to the distance and dispersion of the communities.

He gave this information to the press, on the sidelines of the ceremony to deliver the penultimate report on the operations of the Electoral Registration held in February 2017.

The Minister of Territory Administration, Bornito de Sousa, handed on Thursday, in Luanda, to the president of the National Electoral Commission (CNE), Andre da Silva Neto, the penultimate report on the operations of the Electoral Registration for the month of February 2017.

This procedure is part of the supervision work of the CNE.
