Senegal: Angola recommends education development principles

Dakar – Angola Friday in Dakar, Senegal, recommended the promotion of programmes to stimulate and improve the living of the populations in Africa.

Addressing the four-day 2017 Education in Africa Triennial held in Dakar, the secretary of State for Education, Narciso Benedito, spoke of the need for good governance for the success of the reforms.

He said that if the reforms are not producing the expected results, then it is high time new strategies were adopted.

According to him, the processes underway should be reconstructed, rather than revitalised, if the education system in Africa are to improve.

The official also mentioned the need for an effective south-south cooperation, through reinforced thematic priorities in the education systems in progress.

The adoption of a flexible and complete education system that boosts the development of the societies must be a priority, with the governments setting goals and prioritising the funding of education, the official also stated.

Narciso Benedito also spoke of the need for training of trainers to follow up the evolution in the continent’s education system.
