Secretary of State calls to redouble efforts to fight cattle theft

The official who was speaking at the presentation of the new delegate of the Interior Ministry (Minint), provincial commander of the National Police in Cunene, said that although the situation did not tarnish the cooperation and fraternity between the Angolan government and the Namibian government, robbery and theft of these goods are liable to create poor relations between families who share a common border and are doomed to live together.

“The provincial delegate should reinforce joint patrolling in the framework of existing bilateral relations in order to preserve the common border, in order to stop the theft of cattle and vehicles in the region,” he added.

He called to livestock breeder on both sides to fraternize more and to use conventional or traditional methods in cross-border trade relations in order to preserve and reinforce always the best relations and brotherhood.
