Satellite Communication Centre starts operating in 2017

Jose Rocha confirmed this to the press at the end the 2nd Ordinary Session of Cabinet Council.

The official said the objective of the project is to avoid interference of electromagnetic radiation in the signals that will be issued by the Angolan satellite (Angosat).

The Wednesday’s session, chaired by the head of State, Jose Eduardo dos Santos, approved the regulation on Radio-electric servitudes.

Jose Carvalho da Rocha also said that the intention is to protect the region and the others where the similar centres are to be built.

With the completion of Satellite Broadcast Centre the Telecommunications and Information Technology sector is currently engaged in training of national staff to ensure its operation.

Still this year, Angost will be launched into orbit for its full operation, assured the minister.
