An inmate from the Windhoek Correctional Facility on Monday reportedly escaped from the Windhoek Central Hospital where he was admitted for a sonar examination.
According to an incident report by the Namibian Police Force (NamPol), 38-year-old Isak Alfeus was sentenced for housebreaking with aggravating circumstances and three rape cases on 13 October 2020, at Omaruru in the Erongo Region.
The incident happened at 12h30.
“Anyone with information is urged to immediately contact the Windhoek Correctional Facility or the nearest police station to ensure that NamPol arrests the culprit,” the report read.
