Presidential Initiative for Quality Education for All: Light at the End of the Tunnel Soon

A workshop for the validation of amphitheater architectural studies for the benefit of the country’s universities and university centers will be held in the city of the red rider, Koudougou, from September 30 to October 8, 2024.

In the very near future, poor working and study conditions in universities and university centers will be nothing more than old memories. Indeed, the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, is keen to allow Burkina Faso to take off in terms of development by relying on a quality training and education system. Hence the presidential initiative for quality education for all. According to the national coordinator of the project, Dr Zakaria Soré, the objective is to ensure that there is a specific intervention in the field of education at all levels (higher, secondary, primary, post-primary, technical), by strengthening what already exists and improving a number of things including infrastructure, governance as well as relations between the different education partners.

According t
o him, the presidential initiative for education for all has seven components and the first focuses on the construction and modernization of infrastructure.

Also, the Koudougou meeting is a meeting between technicians of the initiative and those of the Ministry in charge of Urban Planning to design architectural plans in this area. The idea is, according to Dr. Soré, to find plans that are consistent with the architectural plans that Burkina knows both in its diversity but also to modernize them so that teaching staff and students work in good conditions.

The construction and equipment of thirty-nine (39) amphitheaters is planned, including fifteen (15) with one thousand (1000) seats and twenty-four (24) with five hundred (500) seats according to Dr. Soré.

In addition to these infrastructures, there will be the construction and equipment of forty-four (44) modern high schools in R+3 buildings, the construction and equipment of ten (10) technical and professional establishments, and the construction and equ
ipment of preschool establishments.

Along with these various infrastructures, drilling and the development of farms are also expected.

It should be noted that beyond this technical aspect, there is the political aspect which provides for reforms concerning sanitation and the issuing of diplomas, among others.
