According to the official, who was speaking at the opening of another course for municipal managers and urban units, and the School and Academic Year of the Local Administration Training Institute (IFAL), the system allows citizens who have provided a valid telephone number the message reception to confirm the registration data.

He appealed to citizens to use the website of the Ministry of Territory Administration and social networks to which the institution is linked, and said political parties legalized by the Constitutional Court have a “red telephone.”

With this device, he explained, they can be in contact 24 on 24 hours with the Ministry of Territory Administration (MAT), in relation to matters related to the Voter’s Registration.

He also supported the transparency of the system with the fact that MAT has met regularly with political parties, the press, opinion makers and diplomatic corps, as well as regular visits to the provinces to see the evolution of the process.

He recalled that MAT reports monthly to the National Electoral Commission (CNE), when the law requires it to do so only on a quarterly basis.
