Military Criminal Code gives more powers to commanders

Huambo – The future Military Criminal Code, whose preliminary draft is being drawn up, will suit the country’s reality and give commanders more power to discipline the troops.

The fact was announced Tuesday in Huambo province by the chief justice of the Supreme Military Court, general Antonio dos Santos Neto, in the opening of the work of the technical group to prepare the draft.

He informed that the norm counts on the cooperation of Brazilian specialists who work in Huambo for the conclusion of the preliminary draft of the future penal code.

“We expect that in the next 10 days we will conclude with the preliminary project. Then it will be the phase of the discussion with the military leaders and, later, to submit to the appreciation to the Cabinet Council and National Assembly, “he said.
