Lunda Sul: Health School focuses on training of teachers

Saurimo -The Health School of the eastern Lunda Sul Province is focussing on an education of rigour, permanent training of teachers and encouraging scientific research, aimed to improve the quality of teaching.

Speaking to ANGOP last Friday, in Saurimo City, the capital of Lunda Sul Province, the director of the institution, Palmira Baptista, said that for the success of her action programme she is counting on the collaboration of the teachers.

“As we know, health professionals deal with lives, so their training must be one of quality and efficiency (…)”, she emphasised.

She went on to say that besides the academic component, the school board is also focusing on sensitising the students, as well as retrieving moral, civic, ethical, deontological and solidarity values for the future technicians.

“We want to train quality staffs that are able to respond to the anxieties of the population and the country’s challenges (…). We want the staffs to be educated, to have principles, to respect professional ethics and deontology”, she stressed.

Palmira Baptista revealed also that for the present school term about 1,300 students are enrolled and attending the lessons.
