Luanda’s Administrative Commission satisfied with interchange

Speaking to journalists at the end of the visit to the local companies, the administrator of Sambizanga urban district (Luanda), Milca Caquesse, said that the visit served to exchange experiences in the areas of basic sanitation, planning and urbanization, as well as in the domain of the cleaning of beaches, collection of solid waste, among other areas.

“With regard to the issue of districts, we have addressed precise questions about the current situation in Luanda, and one day we can implement them, because we are interested in the experience that the city of Lobito has in the control of and in what concerns the exchange between local companies.”

On the other hand, the administrator of the urban district of Maianga (Luanda), Fernando Cardoso said that the visit aimed to assesses the real functioning of each social sector and the exchanges of experiences will continue, because they are now partners.

He mentioned that the visit to companies such as the Commercial Port, the Benguela Railway, Sonamet, Angoflex and Cerangola gave an idea of how important these are for the socio-economic development of the region and in general of the country.

The director of the exchange and cooperation office of Luanda City, Alcresia Cavalla, said that the visits went smoothly, and that the most sensitive areas were identified for joint work and with great attention, such as community services (green spaces) and in the education sector.

The commission visited last Saturday the urbanisation projecrt of Palmar locality, goats resettlement area and the checked the potential of the Egipto Praia commune.

The commission, headed by the deputy chairwoman of the administrative commission of Luanda City, Mara da Silva Quiosa, was also comprised by the heads of the offices of Exchange and Cooperation, Education, Community Services, as well as Institutional Communication and Press.
