Luanda: Governor praises Tocoist Church social actions

Luanda – Luanda governor, Higino Carneiro, praised on Monday the actions carried out by the church of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the World (Tocoist church) in the social sector with highlights to education.

The official said during the inauguration ceremony of the Tocoist’s Polytechnic Higher Education Institute, chaired by the acting Higher Education minister, Antonio Andre.

On the occasion, the governor reiterated his government support for actions carried out by the Tocoist church, having manifested his satisfaction at the emergence of another higher education institute in Luanda.

The referred Tocoist school has the capacity to host three thousand students and teaches courses of Civil Engineering, Electrotechnical Engineering, Architecture, Accounting and Finance and Sociology.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the acting Higher Education minister, Antonio Andre, the Secretaries of State for Culture and Science Technology, Cornelio Caley and JoAPound o Teta respectively, Luanda’s deputy governor for social policy, Jovelina Imperial, and representatives of recognized churches.
