Justice officials urged to refrain from indecent practices

The deputy municipal administrator of Soyo, northern Zaire province, for the political and economic Affairs, Alvaro EstAvAPound o Kuala, on Wednesday urged officials of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights to refrain from indecent practices in the exercise of their professional activities.

Speaking at the closing session of the seminar on “Civil registration simplification”, aimed at civil servants from the Zaire, Cabinda and Uige provinces, he stressed that due to the complexity of the work, they must refrain from attributing Angolan identity to foreign citizens, who do everything to obtain the identity card.

According to the deputy administrator, the provinces of Zaire, Cabinda and Uige due to their geographical complexities with the neighboring country (DRC) become vulnerable to foreign citizens who, with excessive appetite, seek to acquire Angolan citizenship fraudulently.

The Deputy Administrator stressed the need to adopt viable measures to provide an increasingly efficient and effective public service for the benefit of national citizens.
