Italy confirms participation in Luanda Biennial

The diplomat, who was speaking during a meeting granted by the Minister of Culture, Carolina Cerqueira, considered the event an excellent opportunity to show the Italian experience in conflict resolution, as well as the identity traits in the cultural domain.

To this end, according to the ambassador, his country will take advantage of the promotion of various cultural activities among which photographic exhibitions, cuisine, music, fashion and dance.

Claudio Miscia also reaffirmed Italy’s willingness to support Angola’s applications for the world heritage (Kwanza Corridor, Tchitundu Hulu and Cuito Caunavale) as part of the “excellent” bilateral relations between the two countries in a wide range of fields.

Minister Carolina Cerqueira said that the participation of Italy will be an added value, given the experience it has in conflict resolution, pointing out as an example the case of Mozambique that actively counted on the direct action of the Order of Saint Egidio in obtaining peace.
