Ioba High Commissioner Urges Burkinabe to Be Sincere Towards Their Homeland


The High Commissioner of Ioba province, Bernadette Adenyo/Sermé, urged on October 2, 2024, the Burkinabè to be sincere towards their homeland and the leaders of the Nation.

It was at the Ioba Provincial High School (LPI) that the first head of Ioba, Bernadette Adenyo née Sermé, kicked off the second phase of the Days of Patriotic Commitment and Civic Participation (JEPPC).

This 2nd phase, which will be held from October 2 to 16, 2024, has the theme: ‘For a strong and sovereign Nation, let us not betray our homeland’. The constituted bodies and the defense and security forces (FDS) joined the students and staff of the LPI to magnify their patriotic fiber.

The ceremony was marked by the raising of the national colours followed by the reading of the message from the Head of State.

At the end of this message, the High Commissioner urged the Burkinabe to be sincere towards their homeland and the leaders of the nation to defeat the terrorist hydra.

Mrs. Adenyo also recalled article 2 of the decree establishi
ng the JEPPC and listed the activities to be carried out during these days.

These include fundraising for the Patriotic Support Fund (FSP), cleaning homes, workplaces, health centers, schools, markets and cemeteries.

Added to this is the wearing of Faso danfani and koko dunda, as well as the consumption of local dishes and products such as “kaba tô”, “benga” and “gaonré”, she said. Bernadette Adenyo invited the leaders of the various structures to organize themselves to occupy in a patriotic manner this 2nd phase of the JEPPC in the province of Ioba.

The High Commissioner took the opportunity to encourage the students, teachers and administrative staff of the LPI, and wished them an excellent 2024-2025 school year.

“I wish this year to be crowned with success and the best results,” she concluded.
