Debt and Security Exchange records 29% transaction fall

Luanda – The Angola Debt and Securities Exchange (BODIVA) reported a transaction volume of Akz 10.5 billion (USD 63.8 million) in February this year, which is a fall of 29 percent as compared to January.

During the period in respect, according to a Bodiva note that reached Angop, a drop of 4,8 percent has been recorded in the volume of transactions.

In January this year, Bodiva recorded 84 transactions that involved Akz 14.8 billion (Usd 89.2 million).

The fall in the amount involved and the transactions made in the said period was owed to lesser interest on the part of investors in the exposure to Treasury Bonds indexed to the US Dollar.
