CEO plans internationalization of memorial Agostinho Neto

Jomo Fortunato was speaking to journalists after being sworn in by the Angolan Vice-president Manuel Vicente to the position of chairman of Memorial’s board of directors.

He also promised to promote open management, which would reward the ideas and participation of civil society.

Jomo Fortunato stressed that the events will be selected in order to honour the figure of the first President of the Republic and founder of the Angolan nation, Antonio Agostinho Neto.

He added that along with cultural activity, the memorial will privilege research.

The new CEO declared fidelity to the motherland and cooperates in the achievement of the highest aims of the State, defend the fundamental principles of the order established in the Constitution, respect and enforce the laws and carry out with zeal and dedication his new task.

The vice president of the Republic congratulated the inaugurated CEO, wishing success in fulfilling his duties.

The ceremony was attended by the Head of the President’s Civil Office, Ministers of Territory Administration, Former Combatants and Motherland Veterans, Culture, provincial governor of Cuanza Sul and senior officials of the Vice-President’s Office.
