Cabinda to host main celebration of Angolan Women’s Day

Speaking to ANGOP, the assistant secretary-general of the Angolan Women’s Organisation (OMA), Isabel Malunga, said that besides the public rally, OMA officials will visit the Belize Municipality and hold a meeting with local members of the organisation.

The OMA officials will also visit some social undertakings and the ecologic centre for the training of women, as well as an orphanage and a maternity hospital.

Meanwhile, last Saturday OMA kicked off the “Month of March For Women” events, which will happen under the motto “Women get united for the right vote”.

The celebration of the Angolan Women’s Day happens at a time that the country has been preparing itself to hold general elections this year, in August, in which women have had an active and massive participation.
