BNA runs national currency exhibition

Luanda – An itinerant exhibition of the Angola’s national currency (Kwanza) opened on Tuesday in Luanda, as part of the 40th anniversary of the first issue of the country’s money, a symbol of sovereignty and national unity.

Named “Viagem ao Kwanza” (Trip to Kwanza), the event is sponsored by the reserve Banco Nacional de Angola (BNA) and was opened at Luanda’s Belas Shopping mall, being open to the public from 11am to 08 pm until 9 April this year.

The exhibition includes the Angola’s currency (Kwanza) historical information, pictures depicting currency change operations and banknotes security details.

The event includes a display of celebrational stamps produced by the Angola Post Office.
