Bie: MPLA wants to do more for Angolans

JoAPound o Lourenco said so at the ceremony of his presentation as head of the MPLA list to the general elections of 2017, in Andulo municipality, central Bie province, where he is paying a two-day working visit.

“The MPLA executive has worked very hard in the 15 years of peace, but even though it is still not satisfied because the party is fully aware that there is still a lot more to be done”, he said.

To JoAPound o Lourenco, after the difficult time that the country lived, characterized by armed conflict, achievement of peace and national reconciliation, the attention is focused on development, seeking to bring well-being to the populations.

Therefore, the politicians said that the State, the population, the national and foreign businessmen must work together to provide the said well-being to the people.

“We have to develop the various branches of our economy. We will do everything so that the different branches reach the highest levels of the possible development”, he stressed.

He recalled that in Angola, during the 15 years of peace, many roads, thousands of bridges, hospitals, medical posts and other economic and social infrastructures were built and rebuilt.
