Basketball: Women Basketball team play international tournament

Luanda – An international basketball tournament will be played from 11 to 13 August at the Kilamba Pavilion in Luanda, in preparation for the national senior women’s team of basketball ahead of the African basketball championship, Afrobasket2017 in Bamako, Mali.

According to a source from the Angolan Basketball Federation (FAB) that was speaking to ANGOP, the tournament will be attended by national teams of Angola, Cape Verde, DR Congo and a mixed one from Luanda.

The two-time champions coached by Jaime CovilhAPound completed the total of six friendly games held during the preparation session in Brazil, of which two with Brazilian team.

Afrobasket running from 18 to 27 August, Angola is in group A, along with Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Tunisia and Mali (host country).

Group (B) comprises Senegal, title holder, Nigeria, Egypt, Guinea, Democratic Republic of Congo and Mozambique.
