Angolan President Jose Eduardo dos Santos Thursday received the visiting Attorney-General of Mozambique, Beatriz Buchili, and discussed with her issues related to strengthening bilateral co-operation in the judicial affairs.

After the meeting, Buchili told journalists that she conveyed to the president the greetings from his counterpart from Mozambique, President Filipe Nyusi, and expressed the intention of achieving a bilateral agreement for the extradition of prisoners between the two countries.

Buchili commended the commitment and contribution of President dos Santos in strengthening co-operation at all levels between Angola and Mozambique, particularly in judicial affairs.

She also thanked the Angolan leader for the co-operation extended by Angola in the maintenance and consolidation of the African Association of Attorneys-General, a key forum for strengthening co-operation among the countries and peoples of the continent.

The Mozambican official arrived in Luanda last Sunday for a week-long visit to Angola to learn from Angola’s experience in various legal matters, with emphasis on criminal investigation.
