Angolan Foreign Affairs Minister Georges Rebelo Pinto Chikoti has returned to Luanda after an official three-day visit aimed to Luanda aimed at strengthening co-operation between Angola and Mozambique.

Speaking to ANGOP upon his return here Wednesday, he said the most important aspect of his visit was that the two countries had agreed to hold regular meetings at the highest level of government while maintaining their active existing co-operation.

According to the Chikoti, the visit was positive and he took advantage of the occasion to review various international issues on which Angola and Mozambique co-operate regularly.

He was received in Maputo by Mozambican Prime Minister Carlos Agostinho do Rosario and other local officials and he was able to review with Mozambican officials the 20 bilateral co-operation agreements covering various sectors.

In the sector of social communication, he added, the two sides are working for the public bodies to create synergies for strategic co-operation.

Angola and Mozambique maintain excellent relations of co-operation both bilaterally framework, and multilaterally and within international organizations they belong to.
