Angola: Unitel Data Roaming in Sweden

Unitel, Angolan mobile operator, has once again expanded its roaming services network in Europe, reaching Sweden for the first time, according to a note from the company that Angop had access to on Monday.

The new agreement, signed in January, was established with local operator Tele2, and aims to access the GPRS and 3G Bilateral (mobile data) service in this country.

The entry into the Swedish market, the document continues, represents a continuation of

Unitel’s strategy of expanding the roaming network on the European continent.

The operator said that in January, with a view to improving local access to telecommunications services, Unitel strengthened its position in Germany with the commercial launch of a new GSM service in partnership with the mobile operator Telefonica.

Also in January, Unitel reinforced its presence in Uzbekistan, through two new agreements with local operator Uzbektelecom.

These agreements aim to launch the Bilateral GSM service and access to the Bilateral GPRS and 3G service in Uzbekistan.
