Angola: UNITA youth wing secretary joins MPLA

Luanda – The national secretary for academic and institutional affairs of the opposition UNITA party’s youth wing (JURA), Jose Daniel Americo Kissongo, resigned on Thursday in Luanda and joined the ruling MPLA party, so as to contribute to the country’s development programme and the Angolans’ living standards.

The politician, who was member of UNITA Political Commission, explained that his resignation was due to alleged existence of ” tribalism, nepotism, untruth, lack of transparency on issues related to assets, finances and human resources, as well as agreement between the political speech and daily practice” inside UNITA.

Rafael Fernandes Tchingule, aged 48, joined UNITA in the 1980s.
