Luanda – The secretary-general of Portugal’s Assembly of the Republic, Albino de Azevedo Soares, recommended on Thursday in Luanda the provision of an excellence services in a speedy way by both countries’ general secretariats so as to allow MPs to conduct their tasks without any constraints.

“The parliament staff needs to be trained to respond adequately and rapidly to the requests that the political-legislative power demands from administrative services”, said the Portuguese official during the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Angolan and Portuguese Parliament’s general-secretariats, as part of an exchange of experience.

He stressed that the exchange of experiences between the referred bodies under the ongoing co-operation, aims at bringing new things and avoiding past mistakes committed by both parties.

The manager predicted, on the other hand, that the signed protocol will make the two parliamentary boards more competent because it will permit a positive work with high levels of excellence.

He said that the people of Angola and Portugal are two brothers condemned to collaborate each other.

The event was preceded by a private meeting between Pedro de Neri and Albino de Azevedo Soares, which aimed to evaluate the first agreement signed two years ago, and envisage other actions for the next two years.
