Angola participates in literary festival in Oporto

Speaking to ANGOP on Thursday, at Luanda’s 4 de Fevereiro Airport, before departing for Portugal, Lopito Feijo said the event is of extreme relevance, since every year it brings together Portuguese-speaking and Spanish-speaking writers.

He went on to say that the event represents an opportunity for the internationalisation of Angolan literature, as well as for cultural exchange with the representatives of the countries attending the festival.

Besides Angola, there are guest writers from Mozambique, SAPound o Tome e Principe and Cabo Verde, the last one being represented at the highest level, namely by its Head of State, Jorge Carlos Fonseca ().

ANGOP has learnt that the Cabo Verdean Head of State, Jorge Carlos Fonseca, will be one of the lecturers at the event.

On the occasion, Lopito Feijo disclosed that during the festival he will release a new literary work, which has the preface of the Portuguese poet, Fernando Aguiar.
