Angola: Official hails chiefs of Angolan Armed Forces

Luanda – The Secretary of State for Defense Policy, Gaspar Santos Rufino, on Wednesday in Luanda highlighted the efforts of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) military commanders, aimed at raising levels of personnel preparation.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of FAA Military Leaders’ Meeting, which will run until February 10, he said that these efforts “aim at their application under more complex

conditions, if it is required.

“He recalled that in 2011 the Angolan Government devised a plan with important measures for the progressive re-equipment of FAA, under the management of an appropriate

constituted committee.

The official considered the results satisfactory, although they still did not cover the needs of the three branches of the Angolan Armed Forces: Army, Air Force and Navy.

To him, this is clear proof that the Government is aware of the duty to ensure, at all times, the readiness of the National Army.
