Angola: Mozambican Attorney General Defends Community Courts

Benguela – The Mozambican attorney general, Beatriz Buchili, Friday in central Benguela province, defended the establishment of community courts as a means of bringing the justice services closer to the population.

The official was speaking in Baia Farta municipality, as part of a visit to Benguela province.

She justified the setting up of community courts saying the African societies are multi-cultural, where the justice must be closer to the population.

In addition, she added, there should be an increment in the number of magistrates at all levels.
