Angola: Luanda Strategic Coordination Council analyzes social projects

Luanda – A detailed evaluation of the secondary and tertiary roads project of the country’s capital is being carried out on Tuesday by the Strategic Coordination Council for Territorial Planning and Economic and Social Development of Luanda.

Among the documents on the agenda of the meeting, which is being chaired by the Angolan President, Jose Eduardo dos Santos, it includes the assessment of the provincial urban cleaning plan and access to the new Luanda International Airport.

Likewise, the facelift programme of Cazenga municipality and the definition of the exclusive corridors for regular collective passenger transport are also being debated in the meeting.

The meeting is being attended by cabinet officials, provincial governor of Luanda, Higino Carneiro and heads of offices of the local provincial government.

Luanda is comprised of the municialities of Cazenga, Cacuaco, Belas, Viana, Talatona, Icolo e Bengo, Quissama and Kilamba Kiaxi and has about eight million inhabitants.
