Angola: Head of State Discusses Cooperation With Attorney General of Mozambique

Luanda – The Angolan head of State, Jose Eduardo dos Santos, received Thursday, in Luanda, the Attorney General of Mozambique, Beatriz Buchili, with whom he discussed issues related to strengthening cooperation in the judicial affairs.

At the end of the meeting the Mozambican magistrate told journalists that she has conveyed to the President the greetings from his counterpart from Mozambique, Filipe Nyusi and expressed the intention of achieving a bilateral agreement for the extradition of prisoners.

At the time, Beatriz Buchili commended the commitment and contribution of President Jose Eduardo dos Santos in strengthening cooperation at all levels between Angola and Mozambique, particularly in the area of judicial magistracy.

On the other hand, she thanked the cooperation that the Angolan statesman has given the maintenance and consolidation of the association of attorneys general in Africa, a key forum for strengthening cooperation among the States and peoples of the continent.

The Mozambican magistrate is in Luanda since last Sunday for a seven-day visit to Angola intended to gather experiences in various legal matters, with emphasis on the criminal investigation.
