Angola: Angolan diplomacy must serve national economy

Luanda – The MPLA presidential candidate, JoAPound o Lourenco, defended Saturday in Luanda that the Angolan diplomacy must be put at the service of the national economy.

At a rally aimed for his introduction to the inhabitants of the Zango (Viana) in Luanda, the politician he said that, within the framework of Angola’s relations with other countries, it is intended to privilege the work that diplomacy can develop for the benefit of the national economy, attracting to the country the investments that Angola needs in the most diverse domains.

“In our international relations, we will focus on economic cooperation with other countries so that we can benefit from the capacities they have achieved”, he said.

“It is clear that we are Africans and we will continue to work and privilege relations with our brothers”, he added.

With regard to relations with other African countries, he said that the work will continue to help countries, such as the Great Lakes Region, to find peace and stability so that they may have economic cooperation relations that today are not possible.

Likewise, the MPLA candidate reinforced that it will be privileged and deepened relations with the SADC states, of which Angola is a member country, so that when economic integration is a reality, trade with these countries will be possible to flow.
