Angola and USA analyze situation in DRC and CAR

Luanda – Issues related to the situation in the Central African Republic (CAR) and Democratic Republics of the Congo (DRC) dominated on Thursday in Luanda the audience granted by the Angolan National Defense Minister, JoAPound o Lourenco, to the US ambassador to the country, Helena M. La Lime.

In brief press statements, the diplomat expressed concern about the situation in these countries, but Angola’s role in the stability of these African states has been considered important.

On the situation in these countries, the ambassador considered it essential to hold consultations to get acquainted with the signed agreements.

On the other hand, Helana M. La Lime welcomed the fact that minister JoAPound o Lourenco, is the MPLA presidential candidate for the general elections of 2017, because he is an experienced politician.

She said that her country is following this process with great interest, since these are historical and important elections for Angola.
