Angola and New Zealand discuss cooperation

Luanda – Angolan Foreign minister Georges Rebelo Chikoti is in New Zealand in the second stage of a tour of five countries, which began on 31 March, aimed to strengthen cooperation.

In this tour, which will last 26 days, the minister will work in Australia, Indonesia, South Korea and Vietnam.

In Auckland City, New Zealand, the head of the Angolan diplomacy met with a group of New Zealand businesspeople, who intend to invest in the African continent.

During the meeting, with New Zealand businesspeople operating in the sectors of fisheries and industry, the Angolan delegation enumerated the advantages that Angola offers to foreign investors.

The legal system of the country’s private investment policy, the tax benefits and incentives granted by the Angolan State to the investors who wanted to invest in areas outside the oil sector were also explained to the New Zealand entrepreneurs.

New Zealand has strong fish processing, agribusiness, winemaking and tourism industries.
