The information is contained in a press release from the Foreign Ministry that says that minister Georges Chikoti left Luanda Thursday for Dar-es-Salam (Tanzania) at the head of a delegation.

The note further states that in Dar-es-Salam, Geoges Chikoti will attend a meeting that will analyse the political, defence and security situation in the Southern Africa Development Community and learn of the latest developments in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Lesotho.

The African Foreign ministers will also analyse the election of the African Union president and review the member states’ proposal on the Southern Africa Liberation Day.

The diplomats will also examine the SADC Secretariat report on the adhesion of Burundi and Comoros to the Southern Africa Development Community.

The agenda for the Dar-es-Salam meeting includes the preparation of recommendations for the SADC Troika Extraordinary Summit set for March this year in the Tanzanian capital.
