Ouagadougou: The populations of the commune of Koubri strongly mobilized on Saturday August 3, 2024 for the weeding of the municipal field, in the spirit of ‘free plowing’.
The commune of Koubri adheres to the presidential initiative for community development and the Agro-Pastoral and Fisheries Offensive, launched by the first authorities of Burkina Faso with a view to achieving food security.
To do this, at the call of their president of the special delegation, Samadé Léonard Gougou, the populations began weeding the municipal field on Saturday August 3, 2024.
On this occasion, public and private administration workers, Village Development Councils, members of youth and women’s associations, citizens’ monitoring actors, Internally Displaced Persons and the community’s active forces came together. given their all for their common good.
According to Mr. Gougou, beyond the social cohesion which underlies this activity, it constitutes for the municipality a contribution and a commitment in favor of the gover
nment’s vision.
The activity aims above all to encourage a return to the fundamentals of ancestral societies, in particular mutual aid and solidarity between populations, added Samadé Léonard Gougou.
